Artist Biography

Samin Chase Biography
Samin Chase (b. 1983, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a contemporary painter whose work explores the dynamic interplay of abstraction, nature, and memory. Now 42 years old, she continues to develop a visual language that merges organic forms with bold color fields and layered textures.
Her practice draws inspiration from the vibrant natural environments of her upbringing in Argentina, translated through a lens of abstraction that blurs the boundaries between the familiar and the imagined. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Chase’s paintings often feature fluid botanical motifs, rhythmic patterns, and unexpected juxtapositions of color that suggest both vitality and transience.
Chase’s art engages with themes of growth, transformation, and the unseen connections between living forms. Each composition functions as both a meditative exploration of nature’s energy and a celebration of its mystery.
Her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows across South America and the United States, and her paintings can be found in private collections internationally. Samin Chase continues to live and work as a full-time artist, creating works that invite viewers into an immersive dialogue between abstraction and the natural world.
